The new sixth-generation 2023 Honda CR-V will be available in four trim levels – LX, Sport, EXL, and a new hybridized and boldly styled 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid Touring.
2023 Honda CR-V Design
In terms of design, the 2023 CR-V features an all-new rugged and sophisticated styling inspired by the recently redesigned 2022 Honda Ridgeline and Honda Passport TrailSport models.
The 2023 CR-V is both longer and wider and features a strong low horizontal beltline and a long, powerful front end. The 2023 CR-V features an increased overall length, 68 mm longer than its predecessor, while a 40.6mm longer wheelbase and 10.1 mm additional width give the 2023 CR-V a much more robust and aggressive presence than before.
The radically repositioned windshield pillars give the 2023 CR-V sportier proportions and improved visibility. Further enhancing the new solid styling of the 2023 CR-V is a redesigned large, upright front grille, a longer hood, standard LED headlights, and a new signature vertically designed all-LED taillight design.
The LX and EX-L trims feature a piano black grille mesh with chrome trim, body-coloured side mirrors with integrated turn signals, and body-coloured roof spoiler. The Sport and Touring hybrid models feature bolder styling, more aggressive front and rear fascias, grille mesh highlighted with a glossy black accent, and rectangular exhaust finishers. While the CR-V Sport rides on Berlina Black 18-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels, the Touring features 19-inch split 5-spoke machine-finished alloys.

2023 Honda CR-V Performance
The 2023 Honda CR-V LX, Sport, and EX-L come with a standard updated 1.5-litre turbo engine that makes 190 horsepower and a peak torque of 179 lb.-ft. The updated powertrain includes additional refinement, lower emissions, and a high-efficiency, high-response turbocharger. Besides, the Continuously Variable Automatic Transmission (CVT) has also been updated to reduce noise and vibration.
Available for the first time in Canada, the CR-V Hybrid Touring trim features an all-new two-motor hybrid system consisting of a newly refined 2.0-litre Atkinson cycle 4-cylinder engine and a pair of electric motors that are now mounted side-by-side. This new configuration offers a combined system output of 204 hp and a peak torque of 247 lb.-ft., making it the most powerful CR-V ever.
The 2023 Honda CR-V also features Honda’s updated Real Time AWD with Intelligent Control System™, which improves traction management in slippery conditions like snow and mud. Available on the LX and standard on the Sport, EX-L, and Touring, the system can now send up to 50 percent of engine torque to the rear wheels.
The new CR-V also features Hill Descent Control for the very first time. Standard across all trims, this system offers increased off-road capability with more control on steep, slippery declines.
